Origins of the Praying Hands

April 20, 2014 17 comments

The act of one clasping their hands while praying is not at all exclusive to Christianity, in fact, nearly all major religions, including pagans, clasp their hands, in like fashion, while praying to their God(s). In this article we learn to pray as our Father intended.

The Jewish Talmud states that “Raba removed his cloak, clasped his hands and prayed,”, so we know at one time, even the Jewish people may have occasionally prayed with clasped hands; however, the written Torah does not command them to do so. Today, Jewish people do not pray with their hands clasped, in fact, they are unlike the entire world.

As you will see in subsequent sections within this article, nearly every major religion prays with their hands clasped, except for one -the Jewish people. In this article we will explore the pagan origins of the Praying Hands, starting in ancient Sumeria (ca. 888-885 BC) and ending in the Holy Bible where we discover how our Father intended us to pray.

Sumeria (ca. 888-885 BC)

In 8th century BC, the people of Sumeria (i.e. Modern Day Iraq) were worshiping the sun god Shamash. Here in the image below we have a stone relief, discovered in Iraq (ca. 1881 AD), of pagan priests performing religious worship of the sun god, Shamash.

Notice the man clasping his hands. Here we have possibly one of the earliest known records of hand clasping for religious purposes, roughly 800 years before the birth of Christ being used in the pagan worship of elemental deities, such as the sun and moon.

Therefore, if the Jews had ever learned to clasp their hands in prayer, then they are likely to have learned this from the Babylonians while they were in captivity during the time of Daniel, toward the end of the 5th century BC (i.e. 500 years before Christ). They likely stopped folding their hands as a result of Roman persecution in 1st century AD when they noticed that they too also clasped their hands in prayer to their elemental deities.

World Religions

Today, there are literally hundreds of religious groupings, but our focus is on the foundational groups. Browse through the images below to see how Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, and Buddhists pray and notice how all of them clasp their hands, except for one group.

Interestingly, as we drift further away from the major groups of religion into paganism, we find a different kind of hand gesture -one that is all too familiar to the modern Christian, which is the arms out, palms up or out position -apparently a classic pagan stance.

So, our question is, out of all these groups, which one has got it right? Which one of these groups are praying the way the Father, the true creator of this world intended?

In Exodus 4:31, it reads, “and they believed. And when they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.” The Jewish bow is one of complete submission, where the hands are out, palms down, and the whole body is folded upon itself. Jacob made this pose to Esau in Genesis 33:3.

In 2 Chronicles 20:18, we read how all of Israel made this same pose, as we see above, in worship of God, “And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.”

In Matthew 26:39, we read where Jesus made this same pose the night of his arrest, “And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

In Philippians 2:9-11, it states, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

In Revelation 5:14, it states, “And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.”

In summation, nowhere in the entire Holy Bible does it ever mention anyone clasping their hands to pray, so where did we get the idea that we as Christians should clasp our hands to pray? The obvious answer is from paganism, just as Christmas, Easter, and Halloween are all originally pagan holidays, we have incorporated paganism into our worship of God.

3D Bible Code Viewer

Have you ever wondered how Bible Code was encoded? Well, we have just spent the last 14 months answering this very question. In this article we will introduce to you our new 3D Bible Code Viewer, explain how it works, and we’ll even show you a few actual examples.

Our new 3D Bible Code Viewer is our take on the “Wheel of Formation”, described in the Sefer Yetzirah, that changes the way we view our results. Our users can now view their discoveries in a 3D geometric spiral projected upon a 2D surface and observe how Bible Code might have been encoded mathematically using a geometric algorithm.

In the examples below, you will see that our viewer will also draw a line that traverses about the spiral, therefore connecting each character in standard sequence, and by doing so we see a geometric shape within a geometric spiral take form and we can then see, quite clearly, how mathematics not only verifies our discoveries, but also defines how they were encoded.

How it Works

Our 3D Bible Code Viewer is easy to use and access via You can access the 3D viewer online by clicking the new “3D Viewer” button located above each matrix.

Although the output generated by our 3D viewer appears quite complex, the logical process is actually quite simple. Our 3D viewer uses a special ID code that tells our viewer where to find all of the associated keywords, indexes, and their respective ELS values.

From this data our viewer calculates the required length and size of the spiral and creates it using actual text from the Bible in the precise location where the keyword was found. Our 3D viewer then draws a line connecting each character, thus forming a geometric shape.

Unfortunately, large keywords or keywords with a large ELS value are currently not viewable by our 3D Bible Code Viewer, because 3D geometric spirals projected upon a 2D surface tend to grow rapidly outward and therefore become much too large to be processed online.

In this instance, our 3D viewer will denote that the event has taken place and any remaining output generation will continue until there are no further keywords to process. Therefore, in some cases, there may not be any available output generated by the viewer.

Our 3D Bible Code Viewer displays a separate visual representation for each individual term that is associated to each discovery, so in order to navigate through each image, simply click the thumbnail that represents the keyword you would like to load in the 3D viewer.

New Advancements in Bible Code Research

January 31, 2011 16 comments

New advancements in Bible Code Research are propelling the world forward toward a greater understanding of God. DIVINECODERS has stumbled upon an ancient device that can be used to locate hidden words encoded in the Bible, mathematically, with the assistance of computers.

In this article, we will first explain how our team discovered this device, then we will describe and illustrate the device itself, and finally, we will explain how we will then create and use this device to unlock the mysteries of Bible Code using specialized computer software.

Discovering the Wheel of Formation
It all started back in 2003, when we first discovered the Book of Formation, also known as Sepher Yetzirah. In this book, we discovered blueprints for a device that was described to have been both created and utilized by God during the time of creation. Having read the book, we set out to recreate this device ourselves. And, we did, but at the time we had no idea how to use it or what it really was. Eventually, we lost interest in it and the device we had created was stored away and had been forgotten for the past 8 years.

Recently in 2011, after having processed the entire book of Genesis, storing indexes and calculating probabilities, and having studied these results, we realized that Bible Code was encoded in 3D and that this 3D shape is a spiral! We thought back to our 2003 discovery and realized that this device was the missing link, it was what we needed to unlock Bible Code!

The Wheel of Formation
In the image below, you are viewing a very small portion of the Wheel of Formation created by DIVINECODERS to help illustrate how the Wheel of Formation might appear if one were to view the Wheel of Formation from the front, however the exact design is more complex.

Some things you might have missed:

Time and Space
This image represents time and space by showing us how the Wheel of Formation literally appears out of nowhere and then very quickly extends outward, starting from its center.

Swirl Pattern
The swirl pattern is exactly the same swirl pattern you find in nature, such as in flowers, shells, hurricanes, tornadoes, or the universe.

Each layer is movable, thus the device can rotate freely in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction.

Illustration Continued…
Below is an illustration depicting how the Wheel of Formation would appear if seen from the side. Notice the shape of the swirl as it begins small and becomes increasingly larger.

Wheel of Formation: Side View

More things you might have missed:

Index 0 and 152201 represent the first and last letter in the book of Genesis in the Holy Bible.

All non-alphabetic characters are removed from the text.

Side Note
This illustration is not to scale and the device has been stretched for viewing purposes.

What you don’t see in this illustration is its 3D shape or how thick each loop would actually be.

All you can see from this image is its basic shape, which resembles a tornado, hurricane, or whirlpool.

Note that the empty spaces are absolutely essential, because they allow us to align to any specific encoded term(s) within the scope of the power of n cells per layer.

Using the Wheel of Formation
The Wheel of Formation will be dynamically generated by a computer using sophisticated software. The software will allow us to search very quickly through a large block of text, and without supplying any input, it will automatically return any valid encoding within the block of text using a dictionary of predefined terms. The results will be published online here.

There are many obvious advancements that the Wheel of Formation has to offer Bible Code Research, for instance using this device will dramatically increase the amount of significant results returned in a single search, while dramatically decreasing workload and overall time spent, all relative to using the less efficient traditional bruteforce approach.

What will you find today?
